What Licences do you need to work the gun?

Hammond's insist that you hold at least an Acquire Black Powder Licence when working on the gun. This means that you can carry out any of the positions on the gun, with the exception of being the Gun Captain.

Discuss the exact requirements with the Artillery Crew, and establish a training schedule for you to learn the basics. The Acquire Black Powder Licence is issued by your local police force, and is free! Each Police force is different, but essentially you have to request and fill out a form from your local Firearms Team, explaining why you need this document, and proving that you are a member of  the Sealed Knot - a recognised reenactment society.

Hammond's Artillery crew will be there to support you on your path to joining the Sweaty Betty Gun Crew - an exclusive group indeed!
