Living History & Drill Displays
Hammond's have embraced the concept of a regiment on campaign.
Hammond's are extremely fortunate to have a number of Living History specialists in the regiment. They have been working hard over a number of years with developing a camp and all of the equipment needed for an excellent Living History presentation. Their enthusiasm has rubbed off on the rest of the regiment, and Hammond's have come to realise that there is a opening in the Living History type event that they can exploit with numbers, decent personal kit and equipment to portray the Military Camp of a regiment on campaign.
Hammond's are heavily investing at a regimental and personal level to establish the campsite, reinforcing existing equipment with more tents and camp equipment that will allow us to portray Colonel Robert Hammond's Regiment of 1645 during the Naseby Campaign soon after the regiment's formation. We have been working hard to make our regimental equipment more authentic, recognising and prioritising equipment issues, and solving those issues by either replacing or improving equipment using traditional methods. We are aiming to present Hammond's as the best turned out New Model Armie Regiment in the Sealed Knot.
