Wallenstein Medal
Awarded to Hammonds Regiment by the
Imperial City of Memmingen, Bavaria
Hammond's are extremely proud of this medal which was presented to our Regiment in
the 'Rathaus' - the City Hall shown on the face of the medal in July 2012. The medal is 87mm in diameter, cast in pewter.
On the front we have a scene showing Wallenstein in his carriage in front of the Rathaus in 1630, along with the inscription
WALLENSTEIN IN DER REICHSTADT MEMMINGEN 1630
On the back of the medal we see the Arms of the City of Memmingen over the inscription:
