The Quartermaster takes on the duties required for the issue of Regimental Equipment to individuals and maintaining records of any society property placed in the charge of the Regiment. The position is open to members of the Sealed Knot, Colonel Robert Hammond’s Regiment, and must be over 18 years of age, looking to support Hammond's in the following areas:
Under Sealed Knot Rules wives and adult daughters of the Quartermaster may take the title of Lady on their Sealed Knot membership.
The Quartermaster will prepare quarterly Reports for inclusion in England’s Birthright.
- The quartermaster is a key member of the Executive and Military Committee, and should be expected to be centrally involved in the duties already described, but also in other activities planned by the Regiment.
- Working closely with the members of the Executive and Military Committee, and Military Officers of the Regiment, collate and record all equipment in the ownership of the Regiment, and the location of its storage.
- Working with the members of the Executive and Military Committee be involved in the sourcing of materials, weapons etc. by the direction of the Executive Committee.
- The Quartermaster shall review the condition of weaponry at the end of each campaign season and recommend a maintenance or replacement programme for execution during the closed season.
- The Quartermaster shall work with the Regimental Seamstress in coordinating the production and delivery of Regimental Coats, arranging for the Presentation of a Regimental Red Coat to a New Member with the Regimental Seamstress, Commanding Officer and the relevant Divisional Officer.
